The iconic Ether style is based on three basic principles - minimalism, perfect functionality and timelessness. Together with the emphasis on the highest quality craftsmanship, these are the reasons why our collections of accessories and clothing are not subject to seasonality.
Design is our life. We value traditional crafts and procedures. Design and prototypes are created in our studio in Prague.
The products are realized by hand in small limited series in the Czech Republic, regardless of the financial demands. We support local producers and we are able to guarantee 100% quality craftsmanship. At the same time, a fair production guarantee goes hand in hand with our products.
All components of production are ethical, all employees have adequate financial evaluation and conditions for the performance of their activities.
We work with the best materials. For the production we use carefully selected leathers from premium Italian tanneries, which are created as a secondary product in meat processing or as surpluses in tanneries. All materials are from the production of European Union countries, without the share of production in third world countries. We use a minimum amount of plastics, and if at all possible, we try to use recycled materials and especially recycled plastics.
Designer Eva Vontorová, a graduate of AAAD Prague and Die Angewandte Vienna, founded the Ether brand in 2010 and earned her reputation with a portfolio of luxury leather goods. Her work emphasizes sustainability through timeless design and quality craftsmanship. In 2014 she also started to create ready-to-wear collections, achieving great success at both the Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week and the Fashion Week in China. Prestigious Louis Vuitton City Guide regularly included Ether in its Prague’s choice.
Every year Ether also supports the charity projects Helping dolls and Metráž. We care about the world we live in.
